Bungie not afraid of SimCity style disaster for Destiny

4.7
Bungie has explained via a blog post that they are not afraid of experiencing a SimCity style launch debacle citing the following

"This isn't our first rodeo"
The blog post continues to say "Bungie is no stranger to anxious mobs of players who rush home after a midnight launch and put our best-laid plans to the test." Bungie states that it hopes to "focus on some less frightening but equally important challenges" for now, worrying about release day problems at a later time.

This is clearly a swipe at the recent series of issues experienced by EA/Maxis during the launch of SimCity.

How do you think Bungie will handle launch day of Destiny compared to how badly SimCity was handled?

Bungie wouldn't let anything of that nature happen. Great company dedicated to their gamers.

ImDevinBay I think Bungie will do good with this, why would they have to worry its basically EA. Not bungie, and bungie has always done good with everything. I think it will be great. As all though , some games usually do have servers problems the first week, but that is cause overload on servers and such

i hope so this will be my first time playing this :D

Pedantic Personally I think the whole Sim City launch was a little rushed, they could have delayed the launch and scheduled it for a later date in order to get everything 'Perfect' as a good launch, means a good player base, imo.

I think a lot of company's are rushing the products just to make as much money as possible

With all of the new releases, they kinda have to.
