Saints Row 4 receives release date & trailer

Just a few moments ago, a trailer was released for Saints Row 4, along with an official release date, which is August 20th, 2013 and has a release date of August 23rd in Europe.

It is noted that this isn't just Saints Row 3's "Enter the Dominatrix" DLC on a disk.
"That expansion was cancelled and elements of it were rolled into Saints Row 4," a spokesperson for publisher Deep Silver tells sources. "There will be a director's cut of Enter the Dominatrix released as DLC when SR4 comes out."

The game is being developed for PC and "current-gen consoles." In a follow-up, we clarified that does not include Wii U.

(I can't help but think this is just Saints Row 3 with different stuff added - Saints Row 3.5 anyone?)

The thing you people need to understand is that there not going to put much into the game due to the fact a new console is coming soon and they probably just want to get a quick one out.

To be honest, I don't care what they do with this game, as long as they add in a better multiplayer. It looks exactly like Saints Row 3 but with more crazy stuff, which isn't bad, but they have seriously veered away from the original "Gangsters" theme they had oirginally. Like I said, if they can combine the craziness and stuff with a big big overworld with multiplayer like GTA, i'd buy this.

lol volition is cheap this is the dlc with a few things added....they should have kept it like how it was in saints row 1,they try to go for "over the top" gameplay with a poor sense of humor

Hopefully this isn't almost exactly like Saints Row 3, a lot of games nowadays are starting to do that trend....

Why is everyone complaining? Isn't this what happens with CoD and Fifa every year?
