Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Retail Disc Version Coming in April

4.3
It looks like Microsoft and Mojang are about to take their relationship with one another to a whole new level. A physical level. Today it was revealed over at PlayXBLA that a physical copy of Minecraft for the Xbox 360 will be released to stores on April 30th.

The game will contain all of the same features that the digital version includes as well as all further updates. The title will be sold for $19.99, the same price as the digital version (but taxed now) and will be available in other regions outside of the US sometime early in June.

The retail game will be exactly the same as the digital version in every way, including support for multiplayer connectivity between the retail game and the digital download.

Not really, I'd love to have a hard copy.

..Why? You can just get it on the console itself?

Thou who does not have XboxLive shall simply acquire this "downloadable" game from his uber-free-brain-powered-live-xboxings-telepathic-monochromatic-spacewarping USB receiver, yes? am i correct in stating that? because if so where can i buy one as i'll ditch my XboxLive membership for one ;) NO. JUST NO. Alas i believe that the current generation have gotten past the stage of gaming without freaking internet! [Off Topic] does anyone remember frogger? ;)

You make a valid point, I had completely forgotten about people without Live.

Alright, I'm now on board with the idea, a disk copy couldn't hurt.

Not really smart way of making more money because people without internet can buy the disc
