Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition Retail Disc Version Coming in April

4.3
It looks like Microsoft and Mojang are about to take their relationship with one another to a whole new level. A physical level. Today it was revealed over at PlayXBLA that a physical copy of Minecraft for the Xbox 360 will be released to stores on April 30th.

The game will contain all of the same features that the digital version includes as well as all further updates. The title will be sold for $19.99, the same price as the digital version (but taxed now) and will be available in other regions outside of the US sometime early in June.

The retail game will be exactly the same as the digital version in every way, including support for multiplayer connectivity between the retail game and the digital download.

Oasis Don't see the point, if you have a connected console then just download it.

You answered your own question "If you have a connected console." Some people don't have a connected xbox, not everyone has the slim where it connects wirelessly. Their are still some people who own the original 360 without an adapter or ethernet cable. This is simply to make the game more accessible.

To be honest, would rather this have been released before the version on xbox at the minute.
