Ninja Theory confirms Hellblade 2 photo mode

Ninja Theory has confirmed that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will include a photo mode.

The news was accompanied by the release of four new screenshots taken using the game’s photo mode, which are viewable below.

The Microsoft-owned studio announced last month that Hellblade 2 will be released on May 21 for Xbox Series X/S and PC.

It also confirmed that the game won’t receive a physical release.

“Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II will be a game crafted from the heart – a game similar in length to the first Hellblade, with a focused narrative, and sold digital-only at a price of $49.99,” Ninja Theory studio head Dom Matthews told Xbox Wire.

“And you can once again expect to join Senua in understanding her world through perception puzzles led by her experiences of psychosis, in brutal and visceral combat and in traversal gameplay, this time across the harsh but beautiful landscapes of 10th Century Iceland.

“Crucially, all these elements are intertwined in a unique visual and audio experience, where everything is in service of Senua’s story. So, you can expect more of the same, but this time with the support to push our ambitions for immersion, fidelity and richness far further than before.”

Microsoft‘s head of gaming later claimed getting rid of physical media isn’t a strategic goal for Xbox, but said it will follow what players are doing, “and right now, a majority of our customers are buying games digitally”.
