Dualshock 3 controllers not supported on the PS4.

4.6
Despite Sony showing the PS Move controller being used with the PlayStation 4 during the console's unveiling event earlier this week, Sony says that the new console will not support the use of the standard DualShock 3 controllers.

"No, the PlayStation 4 doesn't support DualShock 3 but it does support PS Move," Shuhei Yoshida to said to sources.

It is unknown as to why DualShock 3 controllers will not be compatible with the PS4 as of yet.

Yoshida added, "That doesn't necessarily mean it won't work."

The new DualShock 4 controller was revealed during this week's PlayStation press conference, confirming features like a 'Share' button, a two-point capacitive touchpad, an internal speaker, headphone jack, and a lightbar for Move controller-like functionality.

xIIJazza Most people bought ps3 because of the controller this is a company fail.. :/

Are you kidding? Most people bought PS3 because it has free online and a blu-ray player, and maybe for the exclusives.

I would've been disappointed if they kept the controller.

Yikes So what, what's so good about them anyway?

They're just the next generation of Dualshock controllers. Playstation 1 had Dualshock 1, Ps2 and Dualshock 2 and so forth.

Exactly, I don't see the big fuss. I'd rather a new controller anyway.
