Google shows what it's like to use Google Glass

4.7
Google is slowly pulling down Project Glass' veil of secrecy. With each new announcement, Google reveals a tad bit more of the device's secrets.

Today marked the release of a new video, which shows off the User Interface of Google Glass. The UI shown in the video is a lot more real and less exaggerated than the original concept video. Users interact with Google Glass through a single pane in the top right.

The video shows off some basic things, like recording video, or taking pictures and then sharing them with friends in your circles. You can also video chat with friends, or relatives who are in your circles.

While the device is not being used, it looks as though it simply just shows the time - pretty much like a clock... but wrapped around your eyes...

The video also shows off things like voice control, which obviously has a very large roll in making the device easy to use. But it goes as far as allowing the user to talk out loud and the device will make a note of what is being said - Pretty much like Siri on apple devices.

And, as you would expect, it supports an image search feature, which more than likely scans Google Images for results, then gives you a few of those results on the pane in the top left of the device.

Here is the video, if you have not seen it yet:

Yin That is simply amazing. I like the GPS feature. It's like real life HUD. It would be very helpful.

lol gta map XD

Lol, that was exactly what I was thinking about. I just didn't name it due to people thinking people will cause harm to other people since they think they are playing a video game in real life. You know someone in the courts will try and see it like that. Another stupid, unrelated way to try and ban violent video games. I apologize for it escalating quickly, lol.

Compliance This looks pretty cool!

The only problem is, price. This looks like it could be very expensive.

On the google glass page ( www.google.com/glass ) For preorder and experiment, it's $1500 + tax.

I expect this to drop some in the coming years.

Yeah i agree. I bet once it is officially released to the public the price will drop to $400-$700 range, but who knows for sure.
