Apple "iWatch" could be past the experimental stage.

According to sources, Apple may already be making a "smart watch". This comes after the New York Times and Wall Street Journal both reported that Apple was planning on making a "smart watch" which is more than likely called the "iWatch".

It was revealed to sources that over 100 people may be working on the watch, which "includes managers, members of the marketing group, and software and hardware engineers who previously worked on the iPhone and iPad." Another source suggested that the watch is now "beyond the experimentation phase", hinting at a 2013 release.

Apple's senior director of engineering, James Foster, is said to be working on the project. Sources say that the Apple Watch will "perform some of the computing tasks now handled by the iPhone and iPad." Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, currently sits on the board of Nike and is apparently interested in wearable items, especially ones that can be used for fitness and training.

Although it's a dumb idea for a touch screen watch, many people are still going to buy it just because it's an Apple product.

XeJames I see no reason in this product, sure it is a new sort of thing, but if someone has a normal watch, or even a mobile on them, why would they need this?

Mut My friend has given me most of the information that i know on this and he is one of the only people i know that shows interest in wanting to buy it. I can already guess that if this actually gets made then they will lose a lot of money.


They are going to start losing alot of money if they start making random items with a touch screen on them.

it is an "iwatch"! It won't sell. Bottom line. Apple will try the iMicrowave next, slogan being "Who needs a smart phone when you have a smart phone and a microwave"

I agree, I think they're just running out of ideas. But, like always people will buy a product that says "Apple" on it, no matter how overpriced or ridiculous it looks.

Feet This is just a money grabber... No need to own one of these.

Knowing apple and their overpriced recycled shit this it probably pretty expensive. Then they'll come out with the "All new innovative iWatch 2 and 3 and 4" Apple sucks butt.
