EA exec: It is unlikely the next Xbox will play Xbox 360 games

An executive for Electronic Arts has recently claimed that we should not expect Xbox 360 games to run on the next-gen Xbox, nor should owners of the next Playstation expect to play PS3 games on the PS4.

Sources report that EA chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen, said "An important thing to remember is that next-gen consoles will most likely not be backwards compatible… And if you play multiplayer on a game, you'll most likely not be able to play with someone on a different generation."

This the exact same discussion as when the 360 was released, they were semi-compatible. If you are willing to drop the money on a new console suck it up and drop it on the games, not like its going to be worth it in the long run. You're all just figures (numbers) to microsoft, they just want the cash.
