Starting your next Xbox with "Xbox on" voice command

The next-generation Xbox will be coming with voice recognition right out of the box, according to sources. By using the verbal command of "Xbox on" the Xbox should start up.

You should also be able to ask your Xbox, "What are my friends playing?" and it should show you a list of who's doing what online so that you can join the fun.

The next-generation Xbox will also be revamped, meaning the new Xbox is going to talk back to you when you ask it a question. The big question is, what kind of personality is Microsoft going to give to it?

Also, since Microsoft owns Skype, the VOIP service is expected to find its way into the next-generation console.

Reports have said that Microsoft's next console could also stop playing second-hand, or pre-owned games, thanks to the always-on Internet connection that verifies each title.

We are all expecting an announcement with more details to come at E3 this summer, so we can put rumors aside.

If you people really think Microsoft will go the no used game route and pretty much forfit the battle between them and Sony you're retarded. With Sony confirmed not doing it Microsoft would be shooting themselves in the foot and would be giving up their constant battle with Sony to be top dog.

The only reason the Xbox is in existence is because Microsoft wanted to beat Sony. They're not going to do something so stupid that they know would kill their console and would put Sony over the top.

same here. just another thing to go wrong and make you have to buy another one. idk if ill be picking one up or not

Isn't it weird that voice command/ recognizer will always be on & that kinect is always on as well.

I will still buy it despite the "no used games" thing. I love that Skype will be on xbox. Also I REALLY hope that the voice talking back to you will be changeable (between different male/female voices and so on? (if that's what they mean about the talk back function)
