New Call of Duty confirmed for Q4 2013, 'will raise the bar even higher.'

Surprise, surprise, Activision has recently confirmed their plans to release a new Call of Duty game in Q4 2013 (October - December)

"The Call of Duty franchise continues to set the bar for innovation and we expect a new Call of Duty game in development for 2013 to raise that bar even higher," said CFO Dennis Durkin during a financials conference call on Thursday.

He also added: "There is increased volatility this year due to the ongoing console transition, which makes predicting the future more challenging than during normal uses in the cycle. For Call of Duty, consistent with our past practices, we are planning for the main line release in Q4 to be down versus 2012"

Many expect that the next Call of Duty is going to be another from the Modern Warfare set of games.

We would be much more satisfied and they would make more because people would actually have the money for it because the intensity of them showing little previews every month would keep everyone on the edge waiting and waiting. That would also give them enough time to make the game perfect, and sell the best game of the year possibly best game ever(from past to present).
Like GTA5 for example, they have been making GTA's for quite some time now like on the gameboy which was a long time ago and there only on the fifth game of the series. They took atleast 4 or 5 years to make it since GTA4 came out.
We all know how great GTA5 will be, lets see what COD can do this time.


The fact that you people keep even saying anything to activison/IW/treyarch amuses me. They will not listen. A game will continue to be released yearly for I would say at least another 5 years. COD is a money milker. That is all.

One-X i doubt that its gonna be different. most of the CoD games are the same and dont change. same BS each game. just make new or remodel a map, change weapons, killstreaks, and BOOM new title. a new CoD game

I agree, there is going to be a new COD every year. IDK if I'm going to buy it though, I'm about done with COD titles...


I am done with any cod that doesn't have zombies in it. I stopped with the infinity ward cods after mw1. After that it was just too much of the same. Black ops and black ops 2 actually added some cool features and zombies is just amazing to me. I really think they need to just stop making cod all together though, but maybe start a spin off game that focuses 100% on zombies.
