While Skull & Bones was originally planned to be the publisher’s first game at the increased price point, that title’s latest delay to early 2024 meant Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora took its place.
Developed by Ubisoft’s Massive Entertainment, the game was released on December 7, priced at $69.99 / £69.99 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
However, in the US it’s already available for $49.99 at retailers including Amazon, Target and Best Buy.
And in the UK, the game can be purchased for £43.85 at ShopTo, and for under £45 at Game and Currys.
Frontiers of Pandora is a first person, open-world action-adventure game set after the events of the first Avatar film.
Taking place in a new continent of Pandora, it sees players teaming up with different Na’vi clans to protect their homeland from the RDA corporation.

Ubisoft recently confirmed plans to release two “story packs” as part of an Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora season pass, which is included with the game’s Gold ($110 / £95) and Ultimate ($130 / £115) editions.
‘The Sky Breaker’ will be released next summer, ahead of ‘Secrets of the Spires’ in fall / autumn 2024.
