Xbox 360 lifetime sales hit 75.9 million

Microsoft has sold around 79.5 million consoles, globally.

That's according to their latest figures released by the Microsoft in a summary of its FY13 Q2 earnings results.

Microsoft also claims that there are a total of 40 million Xbox LIVE users, although they doesn't break down how many of these are free Silver users and which ones are paying Gold subscriptions.

That is a large figure, although I was expecting it to be nearer to 100 million. As for those who think some people may have an Xbox, but no account, you need to remember that they may have got an extra, a replacement ect.
