Xbox 360 lifetime sales hit 75.9 million

Microsoft has sold around 79.5 million consoles, globally.

That's according to their latest figures released by the Microsoft in a summary of its FY13 Q2 earnings results.

Microsoft also claims that there are a total of 40 million Xbox LIVE users, although they doesn't break down how many of these are free Silver users and which ones are paying Gold subscriptions.

Rajon_Rondo Just wait until the first month of the 720 coming out.


It's going to take a lot of time for the 720 to reach as much sales as the 360 though. Because of 360 sales still climbing, and the 360 being out for over 10 years. I wouldn't be surprised if the 720 got as much as this in 5 years though, because of the good reputation xbox 360 has built for Microsoft in the past. It should be interesting to see and compare.

It probably will, but the xbox 360 has been out 10 years. It's probably going to take some time, but I think it might.

I think it might depending on if they are smart with sales.
