Gears of War 1 to be included with Judgment.

The 2006 original shooter is to be bundled with launch copies of the upcoming franchise entry in all regions, except from Germany.

Epic Games announced today that a download token for the 2006 original Gears of War will be included with launch copies of Gears of War: Judgment. The original Gears of War was not sold in Germany due to ratings restrictions and will not be a part of the promotion.

Epic Games also provided information on users' Gears of War habits. They noted that more than half of all buyers who played Gears of War 3 did not play the original.

So if you are planning on getting Gears of War: Judgement at some point, it may be in your best interest to buy it at the game's launch, so you can get your hands on a Digital Download of the franchise's primitive game.

Gears of war 1 was pretty bad for me. i enjoyed 2 and 3 but only for the campaigns. i probably wont be buying judgement though

Looks like Epic is really trying to sell Judgment. First the Microsoft point thing and now this. Its good that they're doing this though, since they royally pissed off most of the hardcore Gears community with Judgment's changes.

I like how they're doing that, still keeping there game up and not letting it go.
Also, pleasing the customer, who would ever argue with a free game.
