Sony: "We'll let Microsoft announce their console first"

4.5
Sony CEO Kazuo Hirai says Sony will allow Microsoft to announce their Next-Gen console first. As we all know, the next generation of consoles will more than likely be released this year. But despite speculation regarding their existence, they still have yet to be officially announced. In a recent interview with The Times, Hirai said Sony will wait for Microsoft to announce their plans first, before unveiling the next PlayStation console. "Why go first, when your competitors can look at your specifications and come up with something better?" Hirai's statement would tie in with previous history, as the 360 was announced before Sony revealed its PS3 back in 2005. Sony has also been adamant that they want to release their next-gen console before Microsoft this time around.

T0xic8ear as a fan of Microsoft I will definitely buy the next-gen console from Microsoft, of course its smart for Sony to wait it out and see the specs and then raise it to a whole new level.

They will attempt to raise it to a new level, at least.

Reaiming Sony is a bit scared that's all. ;)
But as to who goes first, I could really care less.
As someone said below me, it's better first than last.

No Sony Will try and steal some ideas off of the next gen xbox

I agree, sony will do anything to be the better console. If there online as party chat and private chat I may be interested. That is a big thing for me.

Linebacker54 Lucky for me, PC was announced a long time ago.. lol
MS is goin with the piledriver/Bulldozer from AMD (8 core), but an OC'd i5 can beat a 8350, and I am an AMD fanboy.. The GPU will be in the lower 8xxx series from radeon(supposedly), which means they will be weaker than upper class 7xxx gpus right now. All this means is someone with a $400 PC will outperform the consoles. Not starting a war, just saying that you dont need $1000 to have a PC that you will get 100000x more use out of. Not trying to convince anyone otherwise or that one is better ( I have both, I play NCAA and Madden on 360). That is just my two cents.

PCs have always been technologically ahead of the consoles, it's simple market economics.

I won't be purchasing either of the new consoles, I just want to see what they have added to them, and see what they can do.

A little bit of competition eh? Who's gonna throw the first punch? Haha but if sony really does make a touch screen controller for the PS4 I'm definitely getting the xbox.
