The Next-Generation Xbox could have an eight-core CPU, according to new leaks.

4.7
It is rumored that an ex-Ubisoft employee known as 'BD' claims to know all information about the upcoming Next-Generation console from Microsoft, including the RAM, and much more.
According to him, the Next-Gen Xbox will have an eight-core CPU, and an 8800 series GPU. Whilst rumors are still going around about the new console running on a AMD HD 8000M graphics card.
It is also rumored that Microsoft will be using Windows 8 kernel for the system, which is to be expected, as they have been pushing it out a lot. He said that it will have 8 GB memory and a 640 GB hard drive.
Sources also say that Microsoft has refined DirectX 11 for a "fixed hardware gaming platform."
Please treat this like any other rumor, as nothing is confirmed yet. However, these are times when insiders can leak out information for a variety of reasons. E3 2013 will be held on June 13, so not long to go before Microsoft finally unveils the system to the world.

What are your thoughts on this?

Feet 640GB!? Thats overkill... I'd rather have 1/3 that and save $100 on the console.

Could not agree more it gonna be like 1000$ crazy

Yeah um no.
You can go get a 1tb hard drive for $75. MS just jacks the prices up on more memory

xpureacidx I hope you guys know that graphics don't use the cpu at all. all this means that we could see 128+ man servers and better multitasking with the in game dashboard. just to through this out here but a i7 quad core beats a amd 8-core. its completely based on the integrity of the chip. and graphical quality comes straight from the gpu which i herd is a medium grade Amd gpu. i approve of the 8 gigs of ram because ram is cheap. 640GB storage is great because i would rather Download my games instead of going to the store, and HDDs are about 80$ no matter what size.the whole system would probably cost Microsoft about 500$, and if they are smart, set it at 300$ at launch. they'll make the difference through game sales and xbox live.

CPU most definitely does affect the graphics. you can have the best graphics card in the world, but without a good cpu, you will still be bottlenecked and your games will run like shit
