Amazon Instant Video is now available on the Wii in the US

Amazon Instant Video brings 140,000 different movies and TV episodes directly to the Wii. People who utilize the application will have the ability to purchase or rent these via online streaming.

If you are interested in Amazon Instant Video, you can download the app in the Wii Shop Channel. This will give you full access to all of the available content as well as the Watchlist option.

As of now, there is no time frames given for when this service will be available to other regions.

Yeah, I dont use the browser on xbox, I'd rather use my PC.

I honestly don't see why the continue to develop "channels" for the wii. Everybody I know uses their wii as a paperweight. I think tablets and mainstream consoles overwhelm with netflix or hulu.
