Modern Warfare 3 Will Reportedly Feature An Advanced Warfare Crossover

4.1
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 hasn't even been released yet (no, not the 2011 version, the 2023 reboot that has maps from Modern Warfare 2, but not last year's Modern Warfare 2, got it?) but leaks have already begun circulating on potential new content for future seasons.

According to leakers el_bobberto and HeyImAlaix, season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will feature a crossover with Sledgehammer Games' previous Call of Duty title, Advanced Warfare. The leak was first teased by Alaix, who tweeted out "Season 3" followed by an image of a logo found in Advanced Warfare.

Shortly after Alaix's leak, Bob followed up with a quote tweet saying "Weapons from Advanced Warfare are currently set to return in Season 3 of Modern Warfare 3." The leaker then revealed the following four weapons will be returning in season 3:

EM1 (JP32)
ASM1 (JP33)
BAL27 (JP34)
MORS (JP35)

Bob also retweeted a post from content creator ProReborn, who said, "Apparently, MW3 will feature seasons themed after legacy CoD titles. They will feature remastered maps & weapons from the respective games. Season 3 should be AW with the EM1 laser rifle and more."

Of course, we recommend taking these details with a pinch of salt for the time being. Although the rumors may be true at the time of writing, Sledgehammer Games can always change its plans for new content behind the scenes. However, given that Modern Warfare 3 is launching with 16 remastered maps from 2009's Modern Warfare 2, the studio is clearly going all in on the nostalgia elements.

The first beta weekend for Modern Warfare 3 kicked off yesterday, and although fans are loving the remastered maps and new movement system in the game, it wasn't all smooth sailing. Following feedback from players at the COD Next event, Sledgehammer Games revealed that the new tactical equipment, Battle Rage, would be nerfed in time for the beta launch.

But when the beta rolled around, fans were still in shock at how overpowered Battle Rage was. As such, the following adjustments were once again made:

Reduced max duration from 10s to 6s
Kills will no longer increase the effect duration
Health regeneration now begins upon killing an enemy
Incoming damage will now interrupt health regeneration
Removed increased health regeneration speed

If you've pre-ordered yourself a copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5, you can jump into the beta right now.

I feel like there just going to kill the game with adding things that isn't about MW3. They need to just stick to the title and stop with copy and pasting things. I would love to see completely MW3 maps and not just MW2. Like come out with maps that people wanted years and years ago. I wish they would of just remastered an actual OLD Cod. Like MWR was. I feel they should every 10 years of a Cod.
