15 million Minecraft purchases during 2012

4.6
During the course of 2012, Minecraft earned more than 15 million purchases across all of the platforms, with Pocket Edition as the leader bringing in just under 5.9 million across the iOS and Android platforms.

In addition to Pocket Edition, the PC and Mac sales netted just under 4.2 million purchases and Xbox Live Arcade brought in just over 5 million. Based upon the assumption that all purchases were made at a particular price, Mojang's numbers translate into a rough $254 million of revenue from game sales alone.

-Robin- Its amazing how much money they make

Their total that they made during 2012 is only 1/4th of what Treyarch made off black ops 2 in 15 days, but it's still a lot of money.
