Microsoft's 'Major Nelson' counts down to E3 2013

4.5
Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb has posted a live countdown to E3 2013 on his official blog, sparking web speculation as to the nature of the hint.

Hryb, the Director of Programming for Xbox Live, posted the counter at 8:51am PT on January 2. It is accompanied by the tease "and it's on...".
While it's unusual for a representative to initiate E3 hype this early in the year, 2013 is widely believed to be the year both Microsoft and Sony will release their next-gen consoles.

Whatever it is, we have approximately 159 days to wait until we find out.

This hint, this hype, just makes me believe that Microsoft's new system is going to be demonstrated during E3 2013...

How is it outdated? They will be more powerful than any other console out there, hardly makes them outdated.

Outdated compared to PC's?
Yes.

yes more than likely, but remember when the 360 came out it was much more powerful than most computers with its tri-core where-as most computers were still 1-2 cores.so who knows maybe ms will surprise us again?either way they will be outdated fairly quick even if they are better then current pcs. but id rather play while in my recliner with a comfy controller over my gaming pc usually in a desk with keyboard and mouse...
Just hook your PC to your TV with an HDMI cable, launch Steam Big Picture mode, connect your Xbox controller or controller of choice, BAM.

Enjoy wonderful lovely games from your couch.

i'm aware, but as many people will say,the controller is to a disadvantage on pc,which it is.plus i don't have many friends who play pc so i don't touch it much in the first place, also some games don't support 360 controllers, like cod4 for example.so xbox really just has the fit+finish and the social aspects that i like.
