Xbox Live issues reported, Cloud files inaccessible

The Xbox Live service is far from optimal right now, as Microsoft reports hiccups in the Xbox Live service and Xbox.com website. Users will notice inconsistencies and certain outages, affecting various apps across the Xbox 360 – our own tests show the Netflix, HBO Go and Hulu Plus apps functioning as normal right now.

In addition to the reported outages, Cloud files are also affected. If you're trying to access your Cloud saves, you'll receive an error reading "0x807b0198." Microsoft is working to resolve the issues and will update accordingly.

I myself have never used cloud, cause I didn't think 500 extra MB would really matter.

xGetaLifeHo Bout time this is being delt with, My xbox doesnt shut down for like 4mins..cuz of cloud storage. because cloud storage apprently is counted as being some what of back ground content/downloads via on a server... it takes my xbox awhile to shut down.

You can turn that off so it doesn't background download. Just go to your console setting..

Ik but it wont let me turn it off... it says i have something in the back dround downloading when i dont!

I don't see how an extra 500 MB on a Cloud can save you any time, HDD memory, or hassle. I mean it's a great idea, but I've got a 20 GB HDD with probably 1 GB left and I still see this as pointless. This probably isn't such a bummer for the guys who only play online.

Heil I never really used the cloud...kinda glad I didnt!

I use cloud now because my usb malfunctioned and I lost a load of saves so I started to use cloud

I had my GTA4 save game in the cloud... I guess this is sorta to be expected while having something on the internet. Hopefully, they can fix it in the 18 hours that I'll be in the car tomorrow....
