Blizzard drop the ban hammer on Diablo III botters

4.5
“We've recently issued account bans to several thousand Diablo III players who were found to be using botting programs while playing. In addition to undermining the spirit of fair play, botting, hacking, and other forms of cheating can also cause technical problems with the game as well as contribute to performance issues with the Battle.net service. “

This was the post by community manger 'Lylirra' on the battle.net forums that had what's left of the Diablo III players rejoicing.

Although Lylirra admitted that Blizzard have been banning players the whole time, they just hadn't been very public about it.

Typically most players replied with “6 months too late”, but hopefully now Diablo III can find some kind of economic normality.

Blizzard will soon be implementing a system where players can report any botting or exploiting they see in game, hopefully speeding up the hand of the ban hammer.
