The War Z removed from Steam

4.6
Following outrage from it's players, The War Z has been removed from Steam because it lacked the features it had promised to players.

Complaints emerged on Steam's community forums and on Reddit, where players went to vent their anger about being sold an 'incomplete game'.

One of the most painful hits to it players is that Hammerpoint, the makers of The War Z, have blamed players for not understand the game's features.
“it was clear that there were a number of customers that felt that information about the game was presented in a way that could have allowed for multiple interpretations," The War Z executive producer Sergey Titov said in a statement on the game's official forums.

Steam said:
"We apologize for this and have temporary removed the sale offering of the title until we have time to work with the developer and have confidence in a new build. Those who purchase the game and wish to continue playing it via Steam may do so. Those who purchased the title via Steam and are unhappy with what they received may seek a refund by creating a ticket at our support site."

So once again a game has been released that wasn't fit for release and it's players are expected to pay full price and wait for updates that may or may not come.

How does this make you feel?

Sulfur WarZ is a pretty awesome game, just the devs are jerks.

Really. I heard it was bad, and everything they said it was, was false.

The game looks good but the company that made The WarZ said if they don't make a profit from the game their not updating it and stopping the whole game.
They also weren't allowing refunds but Steam was allowing you to refund it from their site.

SovietRussia It kind of sucks that they didn't "Finish" it before they released it. I was looking fwrd to playing either WarZ or DayZ but, I guess I will have to wait for WarZ. I do find it pretty honorable that they are giving "returns" on their game. But still they shouldn't have said the game was something it wasn't.

Yeah that's sad they would put out and incomplete game.

YZF Has anyone played this game before? I have never seen this before

I watched total biscuit playing it.. he wasn't too impressed.. It's probably one of the worst games on steam.. especially considering it's meant to be a DayZ ripoff but it's about 20 times worse >:/ Glad they removed it, hopefully they dont bother getting it back..

And than you realise that DayZ is a incomplete mod, lol.

thats the thing though most udnerstand its a mod and incomplete and beign worked on etc, where as a dev tried to sell an obviously incomplete game which didnt have as many features or enough redeeming factors to warrant people buying thier game and not using an easier to install cheaper alternative :P

Hmm, looks like a good game to me. I think i'm gunna do my research on it and maybe buy it when they're done.

They should sell the game for cheaper when it is still in development instead so players don't feel like they got ripped off. Then when the game is finished, they release it for full price.
