GAME and Steam join forces

GAME the UK's biggest retailer for gaming content has partnered up with Steam and will now be selling Steam Wallet Codes for the values of £5, £10, £20 and £50 in store.

One of the biggest surprises of this partnership is that GAME will be offering an extra 33% trade-in value on certain games when traded in for Steam Wallet Codes. Although its currently unknown how much money GAME will be making from the sale of each voucher.

"This is the latest initiative offering unrivalled value, range and ease of obtaining digital content for our UK gaming community," said GAME chief executive Martyn Gibbs.

Jason Holtman, Valve's business development director added:
"GAME is the leading retailer of gaming content in the UK - one of the world's largest gaming markets. By making Steam Wallet codes available at GAME, we are together delivering more purchasing options for gamers."

This just doesn't make any sense because GAME are still **** blocking new THQ releases on Steam, the likes of Assassins Creed 3, and Far Cry 3 cannot be bought directly, and only gained through trade with people outside the UK, just like Space Marine 40k was for the first year.

I think they sell something similar here in US with steam, it's just not called walletcodes.

Eb Games (Canada) is the same this as gamestop its just in diffrent countries. but anyways they never had them there today so i dont think they have then at EBG or GS yet
