Sony is now issuing Perma-Bans to PSN hackers

4.7
Sony is warning its Playstation 3 Users that anyone caught using the recently released modified software on their Playstation 3 units could face being Perma-Banned

Sony has issued a consumer alert to its PSN users informing them that “Unauthorised software for the Playstation 3 system was recently released by hackers” and that “Use of such software violates the terms of the ‘System Software License Agreement for the Playstation 3 System’ and the ‘Terms of Services and User Agreement’”

“To avoid permanent termination, consumers must immediately cease using and delete all unauthorised or pirated software from their Playstation 3 systems”

It seems unclear from this statement whether these Perma-Bans will be blocking users from connecting to the Playstation Network or if Sony will be console banning the offending Playstation’s.

Nice_Peter and they weren't doing this before why?

That's what I was wondering..

I mean, every site, platform and every everything bans you or gets rid of you for breaking policies. Sony's a bit late haha.

This'll just provoke them even more, what's the point? they'll hack it again if they get banned.
