Evil Dead: The Game, the co-op PvP/PvE survival multiplayer experience based on the movie franchise, is now getting a new Game of the Year Edition on April 26 with all DLC packs included as well as a new upcoming DLC pack titled "Who's Your Daddy".

The new DLC will be inspired by the Ash vs. Evil Dead TV series, which takes place 30 years after the first trilogy of films and serves as a sequel to them, and will introduce the new Survivor Brock Williams (father of Ash, the series' protagonist). Brock will have multiple auras that he can unleash to help his teammates (which charge dynamically based on how many members of the Williams family are on the team), not to mention he will also be immune to all knockbacks from enemy demons.

The DLC will also introduce the Demon Schemer (based on the TV series's Baal), a new trap specialist who will be able to confuse the Survivors with illusions. His signature attack, Meat Puppets, can also inflict increased damage with a variety of attacks based on the Survivors' fear levels. New outfits for Ash, Amanda, and Pablo will also be available in the same DLC.

Of course, all previous DLC will be included, such as the demon possession immune survivor Mia, medieval and Halloween outfits, as well as many other cosmetics and survivors. The GOTY edition is also available as a paid upgrade for current owners at a discount (according to Epic Games store), and 'Who's your Daddy' is available separately as well for purchase without having to buy the GOTY edition to get it.

The same day will also see the release of the Steam version. Previously available only on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via the Epic Games Store, the game will now arrive on Steam (and there is also a Switch version in the works, but with no announced date). The game sold 500,00 units in its first five days of release, and was made available for free to all PlayStation monthly subscribers no less than a year after its release.
