Halo 4 gets tough on sexist players

343 Industries wants to make it clear: It will brook no further discrimination of any kind in Halo 4. Executive producer Kiki Wolfkill and studio head Bonnie Ross say that sexist discrimination of any kind will be met with a lifetime ban from both the game and the Xbox Live network.

Ross says that "most people look at a franchise like Halo, and automatically assume it's run by a guy," but this particular franchise is run by a few ladies, and they're not having any discriminatory nonsense in their latest sequel.

We agree with the sentiment, and hope that the harsh penalties make sure that the losers who make sexist and other offensive comments get shown the door for good. The ideal should be to make sure all forms of this offensive discrimination are squashed as far and wide as possible, no matter who's running the show.

I like their idea. But bans won't stop children for being ignorant, and won't stop people from being out right stupid.

yes microsoft can only perma ban you, not a gaming company. gaming companies can ban you off their servers but that's it. this is most likely a fake rumor highly doubt it will work like they say it will

I think Kiki's a little butthurt that every time she tries to play a match of Halo on live, guys tell her to get back in the kitchen. In any event, this isn't gonna stop me, and it probably won't stop anyone else.

this is fake lol you can't control what people say over xbox live or even the internet. i understand completely where 343 is coming from but you cant get console banned for what you say maybe banned off halo servers but there is no terms of conditions saying you will get banned for profanity or sexist. just some poor girls trying to make the world a better place by ruining something else you can't stop trolls lmao nice try though. imma do what i do if you don't like it gtfo of the lobby

They should be focusing on eradicating racism before going after something like this, and i can't see how they can ban you from the entire Xbox LIVE service. I think that's just them saying things to scare you.
