The Halo franchise is up to 46 million games sold worldwide. Microsoft gave us the impressive figure today ahead of the launch of Halo 4, which was recently revealed as comfortably Microsoft's most expensive game to date.

According to Microsoft, Halo has so far generated $3 billion in revenue, there are 120 million pieces of user-generated content in Halo 3 to date, and 5 billion hours have been logged into Halo games via Xbox Live. We won't speculate on what all these figures may rise to following Halo 4's release next week.

Halo is good for the competitive side of it. GB on it is really fun and is actually a challenge unlike others.

Just shut up and get out of here halo 4 is the most anticipated game of 2012 and did you see E3? Halo 4 was the biggest thing they had to announce I didn't see Black ops 2 everywhere or lead Microsoft at E3 like halo 4 did halo has always been a huge success if your 12 year old Call of Duty ass doesn't like it then just don't get the game don't bitch about it

your retarded because it has been a very anticipated game, and i like black ops 2 getting it but halo is halo and granted reach sucked but if that was your first halo you should be ashamed its like bo 1 was ur first cod.
