Epic will reportedly offer a free game every day over Christmas

The Epic Games Store will once again be running a promotion offering players the chance to claim a free game every day over Christmas.

That’s according to Dealabs user billbil-kun, who has accurately leaked various Epic Games Store, PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass promotions for over a year.

In 2019, the Epic Games Store gave away 12 games over Christmas, and in 2020 and 2021 it gave away 15 free titles over the festive period.

Asked if it’s set to repeat the promotion again this year, billbil-kun said the offer will be running sometime between December 15 and January 10, 2023.

The Epic Games Store has given away 100s of free titles since launching in December 2018. According to Epic, last year it offered 89 free titles (down from 103 in 2020), with a combined worth of $2,120. Users claimed over 765 million free games in 2021, it said.

It currently gives away at least one game each week. At the moment, players can claim EA Motive’s space dogfighting game Star Wars: Squadrons free of charge until December 1.

Star Wars: Squadrons will be replaced by Fort Triumph and RPG in a Box, which will be free to claim from December 1-8.

Amazon Prime Gaming members can currently claim seven PC titles at no additional charge.

November’s ‘free’ Prime Gaming titles are Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition, WRC 9: FIA World Rally Championship, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Last Day of June, Etherborn, Whispering Willows, and Facility 47.

great to see some company's not so greedy about revenue because quite frankly i'm sick of hearing about company's fighting over games and money and complaining the whole time about it
