Resident Evil Re:Verse Content Roadmap Revealed

Capcom's Resident Evil Showcase officially went live yesterday, delivering new footage on three different upcoming Resident Evil experiences from the company, including the promised multiplayer expansion for Village known as Resident Evil Re:Verse.

The new trailer for Re:Verse showcases new playable characters as well as Village as a new map for this online PvP experience. Launching alongside Winters' expansion, Re:Verse will only be available for players who own Resident Evil Village.

Aside from providing some new gameplay footage, Capcom also made a few other announcements regarding Re:Verse, including the title's content roadmap for the first three updates, which will include new Survivors, new maps, and new costumes for the available characters. According to the roadmap, the game will receive a new Survivor with every new content update.

Re:Verse will launch with 6 Survivors, 5 Creatures, and 2 Stages at launch. The first content update will deliver one new Survivor, one new Stage, and 8 new costumes as well as 30 levels of Battle Pass progression. With Update 2, players can expect one additional Survival and some new costumes again. Update 3 will be the only post-launch content to add a new Creature to the game.

Overall, the game is supposed to feature a 90-level Battle Pass until Update 3, but the levels will be unlocked gradually with every new content update. Capcom has not revealed anything about the Battle Pass content and whether it would include any free drops or not.

Resident Evil Re:Verse will feature cross-play between all platforms, but players will need to create a Capcom ID to be able to play online. An Early Access build of the game will be available for two days from October 24 across all platforms, allowing players to give the multiplayer experience a try before its full launch on October 28.

Capcom has not revealed anything about when we can expect the first content update to arrive in Re:Verse, but proper announcements are expected to be made a few months after the game's official launch. Keep in mind that Re:Verse is not as superior as Resident Evil Village visually, and the game will be based on last-gen consoles.
