FIFA 23 Sets Record Launch With Over 10 Million Players

4.2
Electronic Arts revealed in an official statement that FIFA 23 managed to reach over 10.3 million players worldwide across all platforms in its first week of launch, making it the biggest launch ever in the series' history.

Despite the fact that Electronic Arts is terminating its deal with FIFA, the latest entry of the series has actually performed incredibly well in financial terms. Over 10.3 million players have joined the FIFA 23 servers in only 7 days after launch, and the number will keep growing as we move farther from the release date.

Multiple reasons should be taken into account for this huge launch of FIFA 23, but probably the lack of a serious competitor is what makes FIFA 23 a superior football simulator in the world and the only choice for any football fan across the globe. In addition to this, the fact that we are only a month away from FIFA World Cup 2022, the world's biggest national football tournament, is another reason that people were hyped for FIFA 23 and decided to purchase it as soon as possible.

That being said, we can't ignore the game's improvements in this new version. FIFA 23 is the first game in the world that includes women's club football with fully licensed teams and players. Also, the developers made significant improvements to the career mode to make it a better and more realistic experience than before. Bringing Hypermotion technology to PC was another upgrade in FIFA 23 compared to previous iterations.

All these factors helped Electronic Arts to enjoy a record launch for FIFA 23, and this success is expected to continue as FIFA World Cup 2022 tournament kicks off later in November. FIFA 23 will receive an official World Cup and it is expected that the game receives more World Cup-oriented content in the Ultimate Team mode, including new player cards with new stats based on their performance in the World Cup matches.

Despite the fact that EA Sports has a wide variety of sports franchises, FIFA has always been the biggest one when it comes to profits, but it remains unknown how the future of the series would change after its rebranding to EA Sports FC in 2023.
