Developer Nadeo and publisher Ubisoft have announced during the Ubisoft Forward 2022 that the free-to-play Trackmania will blast its way onto PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in early 2023. It was also revealed that Trackmania will be available on streaming platforms Google Stadia and Luna at the same time.

Having remained exclusive for PC since its initial release in July 2020, the acclaimed action-racing game Trackmania will finally arrive on console platforms, including next-generation versions for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, when exactly in early 2023 Trackmania will launch for consoles remains to be seen. Ubisoft confirmed that the console version of Trackmania will remain free-to-play, with cross-play and cross-progression features being available on all supported platforms. It will also arrive on day one on the Ubisoft+ subscription service.



The developer team will bring several new features with the console version of Trackmania, including the option to upgrade to the new premium plans. As the same on PC platforms, players who upgrade to the premium plan will access Trackmania clubs, allowing players to gather their groups, share their unique customizations, and even create their own campaigns that they can enjoy with friends. Additionally, the premium plan features Esports events such as the Cup of the Day, where players can earn rewards to upgrade their cars.

Players will be able to display their abilities and unlock car skins based on their talents in the new feature that will be added to the console version of Trackmania. Moreover, in order to celebrate the console release, Nadeo unveiled that more than 150 new items will be available at launch. As indicated in the official statement, with Trackmania being available on other platforms, the long-running franchise will grow in size, drawing new players from consoles.

The latest iteration in the beloved series, Trackmania 2020, features both single players and ranked modes, allowing players to compete against their friends to collect medals. The game offers 25 tracks updated regularly every three months, each having its own hardships. However, the base premise of the game is that it allows players to customize their tracks, cars, and items thanks to the Track Editor feature. Trackmania will launch on Xbox and PlayStation consoles in early 2023.
