Sonic & Sega All-Stars Transformed dev impressed by Wii U graphics power

Sumo Digital didn't need to re-engineer the graphics of its upcoming game for Wii U, the developer disclosed in an interview. Sumo, currently working on Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed, was worried the game's "effects and shaders" would need an overhaul on Wii U. Instead, the British studio was left impressed by the new console. The game's executive producer, Steve Lycett, described the graphics processing unit's capability as a "surprise."

Lycett also praised the Wii U's memory, arguing that its abundance helps make the console's graphics equal to that of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

"The Wii U looks as good any of the HD platforms," Lycett told Official Nintendo Magazine, "The Wii U has way more memory, so we can take advantage of that with less compression on elements and textures, so it will look all lovely and shiny."

Eh, Sonic all-stars should be on the Xbox. I don't wanna waste my money on the Wii U.

Why the heck does everyone hate on the wii?
nintendo is like the game system that got most people playing video games and now there like oh no xbox ftw, Now i understand the wii was not as near as powerful as the ps3 and xbox but it was also made for a different crowd it was intuitive for its time and now look at the new system they know what there doing wii u will be in the ranks of the ps3 and xbox and games like COD and BF will be playable on it so They will make alot of money on this especially with zelda in HD its gonna be sick

Rule34 It's going to be a bit more powerful than the 360 and PS3. What do you expect? Besides, it will be considered good for a while. The next gen Xbox and PS4 will probably come out a year after the Wii U, so it has time to strive.

lol that's where I'm lucky got girlfriend of nearly 6 years so I'm good unless she decides to break up with me then yeh gonna have trouble picking them up in a Nintendo car XD

The only thing i do have it for is my iPhone. It's a Paid app and it was free for a limited time. I downloaded it then deleted it. So just in case i ever wanted to play it, i can just re-download it instead of buying it.
