Minecraft sales pass seven million on PC

Minecraft sales continue unabated. Daniel Kaplan, business developer at Mojang, revealed today that the PC version of Minecraft has exceeded sales of seven million units; comparatively, the Xbox Live Arcade version has sold three million.

The seven millionth sale comes a week after Minecraft's 1.31 patch, which adds trading functionality and combines both single-player and multiplayer into one unified mode.

iPerma Well minecraft xbox will pass pc buy a lot. Will add more.


I think the PC version of minecraft will always be the most popular.


It will be because of the mods and sprint


eventually the xbox version will get all these great updates and people will prefer it over the PC version


I think more will play xbox when updates out even tho pc will still be more popular because xbox wont be allowed mods


Yeah theyll both be someewhere together in a range, pc will be more, because it started off with more, and maybe xbox will catch up by alot, after all the update processes

Of course, the PC version is where it started.


It may have been where it started but that doesn't mean that it's going to be on top of the MCXBOX360 forever.

Asylj Cant imagine to think about all the updates that would occur in 1-2 years. Bearing in mind the only knowledge we have of the next update is 1.4, this game.


the game will be like the ultimate sandbox game by that time, you'd be able to build anything you can imagine.


You can already do that!

When are they going to release the full game? Damn thing is still in beta pretty much.


i thought it was out of beta?
and not before creative mode, you had to build blocks on blocks to build something high

More people play Xbox then they do Minecraft on the computer.

In a couple years I bet they'll be neck and neck.

Probably but IDK, Xbox has I think 3 million and PC already has 7 million and going.
