EA: digital sales will eventually overtake boxed games

4.4
In an interview with Reuters, Moore explained that while EA will move in the direction of digital sales as the market demands it, boxed software sales will continue as long as the market for it survives.
"There will come a point, whether it is two or three years from now, when we say 'we are doing more in digital media now than we are in physical media,' and it's clearly ... not far away," Moore said.

Reuters points out that EA's expected packaged goods revenue for the fiscal year ending March 2013 is $2.6 billion, with digital products expected to bring in $1.7 billion, while its digital revenue increased by 55 percent in the first quarter of that year.

Moore insisted that boxed media will stick around for a while, saying "we will never abandon physical media. As long as the consumer wants to buy something on a disc, we will be there to offer it."

Mazur Digital video games will be sooo much easier, they'll be conveniently placed right on your Hard Drive, or Cloud storage, and will cost less as well :D

Memory is also a big issue in this if they want to go digital then i want a free big a*s hard drive

Yeah, I don't have much memory left.

I guess I should go buy a new hard drive. :/

you could always delete stuff that you don't ever use :)

I've been doing that. I have way too many shitty gamer pictures that I never even use. (Like lego batman, and madagascar).

lol those are just a waste of space and money. I have 250GB of space though so i can have pretty much whatever i want on there :P

Yeah but just think how much memory it would be? It would probably be like 8.7 GB for 1 game and some could be more or less memory aswell.
