Durango Alpha Tower Arrives on Ebay - SOLD

4.4

With the past few weeks of random Durango Alpha Tower image leaks, user DaE continues to push Microsofts buttons.

Earlier tonight, August 12th 2012, a Durango was posted on Ebay by user SuperDaE for $1.00. We caught up with user DaE for a second and asked if he had anything he would like to add to the story, he said "All proceeds go to charity. And by charity, I mean my new car."

For those who do not know what the Durango is, it is the next generation Xbox which is not expected to be released for a few years still. This is NOT what the console will look like either. This is called an Alpha Tower. It is in no way close to a final product.

The item was listed with a few items, which include the controller and the power supply. Below you can find the Ebay link, which is expected to be pulled down somewhat soon by Ebay or Microsoft.

UPDATE:

The item has been sold for $20,100, it is unclear who actually bought the item but we'll keep you posted!

TTG_Samurai could have spent $20,100 on a empty mountain dew can and it still would have been a better investment...

I would love it if it went up to like, 6 thousand dollars, then someone bought it only to find out it's just a regular PC.

Well looks like getting that new car

MazurPosted:

Interstellar Microsoft probably just bought it to keep it out of anyones hands, they definitely have the funds to do so.

that is true, you might be on to something here.

homerman55 Im going to laugh when this is only a regular computer that someone build and posted it up on here because the guy selling it never sold anything so anyone can just make a account and name it "superdae" like i could make a account and name it like "foxmegan" and people would think its legit and if i sold panties they would buy it for like 20k? Theres no photos of the dev kit in action or on carpet so theres no proof that this guy owns it or has it. He coulda just found a photo on google or something and posted it on ebay and made 20k from someguy and going to send them a computer that he build. So the guy who plugs this in to a tv is going to see "windows 7 loading" or a big "FU" to the face

Exactly, and have fun winning in court. "I was just trying to purchase a dev kit for the next Xbox that most likely was obtained illegally." I can already see it happening.
