Infinity Ward CV suggests next CoD releases on both current and next-gen

4.7
Superannuation has posted another sleuth feature on Kotaku, and it, the anonymous researcher has cited the resume of Infinity Ward’s lead engineer and project manager, Andrew Aye. The CVG states he is working on an “unannounced title,” which is likely Modern Warfare 4 which is set for a release sometime in 2013 – if previous releases are any indication. Platforms noted for the game were Xbox 360, PS3, PC DX11, and “TBA” – which could either mean Wii U or the next console from Sony or Microsoft. Aye also noted he’s hard at it on “support game and engine development”, as well as being “responsible for setting technical direction and design for a new high-end DX11 code base”. This has lead Super to conclude the next CoD game from Infinity War will “be an entirely different game from the current-generation versions, as was the case for Call of Duty 2.”

I'm sure some original Xbox games were like this. I can also remember them continuing to make them up until like 2006 or 2007. I may be wrong though.

I don't think they'll waste their money to bring it to 4 (or more) consoles, and PC. Who knows though? I am sure not everyone will have the next-gen consoles ASAP.

I really hope this happens. I will not instantly buy xbox 720 or ps4

awzrd IW and Treyarch should both do another WWII series.

Treyarch said they are done with the WW2 Era.

I would like a new game engine. They have been using the same one since Cod 2 with just tweaks to the system. I think mw2 had best graphics of all cods and then black ops then mw3 it just seems so dull in mw3.

stevo23 i want another WW2 game i love them and IW made the best one call of duty 2 the big red one. that game was legendary and anyone who has played it will say it was their favorite campaign for any game ever it was just great they need to make another like it and the mulitiplayer from IW making a WW2 game i think would be great

I did play that campaign and I will say it was a great campaign but I kinda liked WaW better to be honest. Big red was my second favorite campaign and mw3 was my third, the ending of that one was great.

TTGMuted Ehh they need changes like Black Ops did.

Also better graphics I'm tired of the same graphics that MW2, they need to change that.

Dude, can't you tell they don't give a **** cause they know, if they take away the 2 and put a 3, you guys will still buy it even though it's the exact same game, but with a 3.
Same graphics, same shitty storyline, same guns, same boring running around, same boosting, same hacks, same everything.
You sir are an idiot. Nothing is the same. They all have been upgraded because im for sure that CoD 4 DOES NOT play like MW3. And MW3 does not play like black Ops.

People keep saying the game never changes and from a multiplayer stand point it hasn't. The story changes the characters change, the guns, and maps. That is how a sequel works in gaming. The only thing that really can change is the story line a bit and graphics. If everything about the game changed then it would be a totally different game you wouldn't be able to call it cod 3 or cod 4. The same thing is gonna happen with Battlefield 4. The maps will change, graphics, characters and story line will continue. People think cod is the only one that does it but that's only cause cod has the most sequels so its easier to see in that series. If battlefield is lucky enough to reach a 6th game then you will see the exact same thing. If they change how you play and what you do in the game then its no longer Battlefield its a totally different game it then becomes Medal of Honor or something. If you like games were you have to plan what you do, a bit more slow paced, and maybe a bit more like a feel of a real life army simulation then Battlefield is a way to go. If you like games that are more fast paced then cod is the way to go. Its all about preference. I love both game but for me cod wins me over because I like it a little more fast paced, I like the zombies too, and I like the campaigns more as I enjoy the story better.

I personally think they change too much with the games for instance IW when they made CoD 4 it was new and amazing it was good change even though it was a huge leap from CoD 2's multiplayer to the custom classes of CoD 4 but when MW2 came out I thought it was a little much to introduce different perks instead of changing or adding perks i think they should have just add pro perks to CoD 4's perks and still change stuff like adding new killstreaks and a few other things but it just felt like I was playing a completely different game I would have been fine with something that felt like CoD 4 but I had new guns and new killstreaks
