Forza Horizon 6 Gears Up To Enter Development According To Job Listing

The next instalment in the Forza series could be on the horizon as a new job listing by Playground Games points towards Forza Horizon 6 entering development.

Forza fans shouldn’t expect the new Horizon game to launch for at least another 4-5 years, considering the first stage of development has likely just begun. With the huge success of Forza Horizon 5, which launched in November of last year, it should come as no surprise that Playground Games are beginning work on the next entry in the series.

Forza Horizon 6 is yet to be officially confirmed by the developers, but a new job listing was recently spotted as the team is searching for a new Level Designer.

As spotted by XGP, Playground Games have published a new job listing for a Level Designer to join the Forza Horizon team. The listing in question states that the team are searching for an individual to become a “member of the design team on a AAA title” and will be required to take responsibility “for large sections of the game’s level design, as well as mentoring and leading junior teammates”.

As mentioned previously, Forza Horizon 6 is likely still another 5+ years away from release. Microsoft is currently gearing up for the release of a new Forza Motorsport title, which was announced at an Xbox Showcase back in 2020.

Many Forza fans are eager to get their hands on the new Forza Motorsport as the announcement trailer reveals that the series won’t be titled Forza Motorsport 8 as expected. Indicating that the series could be receiving a reboot with the upcoming release.

Cant wait for this love the Horizon series, Cant believe its gonna be another 5+ years before its finished and out. It was only a 2 year wait from FH4 to FH5 surely we cant be waiting 5+ years. just hope it doesn't go as stale as quick as FH5 has, Used to like seeing how high i can get in the world leaderboards for PR stunts but the leaderboards are ruined now by Modded scores.
