New Super Mario Bros. 2 to offer paid DLC stages

New Super Mario Bros. 2 will have special post-launch "Coin Rush" stages available as downloads, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has announced. In keeping with the theme of the game, these stages will be paid DLC.

The "Coin Rush" mode is a series of three-stage courses, during which you have only one life. Records are saved and shared through StreetPass.

lol that wont happen in a million years Mario is a nintendo trademark character like master chief is a trademark for Xbox and really i dont play my wii but when i did super smash was a pretty awesome game but with PS3 coming out with All Stars Battle Royale i think i will go with that instead of Super Samsh Bros 2 sorry nintendo

Anyways, this isn't huge news for the game, it certainly doesn't increase my chances of buying it, but I might pick it up anyway just because I love Mario games.
