An HD remake of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee has been in development at Just Add Water since last year. Now Oddworld Inhabitants' Facebook page has offered an update: it's not just a remake. ... Well, okay, it's still technically a remake, but with enough effort behind it to also qualify as a "reboot." Are you still with us?

Rather than updating the original Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee 2D artwork, Just Add Water will be using the original PSOne game "as a blueprint" for an HD remake built from scratch. We'll get our first taste of the game later this year, ahead of its planned launch in the summer of 2013.
