Xbox 360 has generated more than $56 billion in retail
It would appear the current generation of gaming consoles has sustained itself on its broader entertainment options, and Xbox 360 sales have increased from years four to five, five to six and six to seven, as the above graph indicates.
"The more entertainment options we add, the more time people spend on Xbox," Microsoft said.

Antsinistershades Sad thing is is that the graphic demand of games is starting to catch up with the Xbox. Games are demanding more and more graphics now. Max Payne 3, for example, doesn't always run at a smooth... pace (I'm not sure what FPS it runs at, so I'll just say that). There's some lag in cut scenes and such. Same thing for Mafia II. Of course, I don't mind it, it's just that some gaming gurus will be like "OMGOMGOMGOMOMG IT ISNT RUNNING AT 60 FPS!!!" and smash their TV.
Majority of games (not giving a percentage) play at 30 fps on the xbox, that's the standard stable frame rate it can manage. Bad console ports are really ruining parts of PC gaming though, if anyone here has Mass Effect 3 on PC you'll know what I mean from the terrible pre-rendered, low bitrate, low resolution, 30 FPS cutscenes which are slapped inbetween the smooth 60 FPS gameplay scenes.
Luckily, with mods and the PC being more customizable, there might be something out there that might fix your problem.

xADxSlapMaFiAAnthony Intresting to see xbox still hasnt made a console since 05.. COME ON ALREADYIf You Do Some Research You Would Know A Company Has To Wait A Certain Amount Of Years Before Releasing Another Game Console .
A company does not need to wait a certain amount of years. Just development of a new console would take a long time, especially for a project so big.

You mean Microsoft?
There is no need to make a new console. Why fix something that isn't broken? The current Xbox is sufficient for almost all games on the market right now.
Learn to be patient.
No why not make a console that can do MMO games. Or even massive servers. Why not make a console with atleast a good old GTX 570 in there. I want to play BF3 with maxed settings and 64 players online. Sure it will be expensive but it will be amazing.
Play PC, problem solved. I completely agree with the old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." You're just a whiny brat that won't be satisfied with anything.

Get a PC
Plug in controller (use Xpadder)
PLAY
The amount of players does have to do with the consoles, but also the servers, which would cost a lot. If you can host dedicated servers with your own money on Xbox, that'd be sick. PC's would be pointless though. An Xbox would be a PC without the Windows OS/browsing your system, without the mods, without internet BROWSING, and it would be a cable box, a home entertainment system, and a gaming unit (obviously).
