IW made cod 4, the best game in the series

Treyarch makes WAW using COD4 code, I'm pretty sure infinity ward wasn't happy they had to give them their game code. WAW is also a carbon copy of COD4. So how exactly is treyarch making 'better games' The only thing that was added was zombies and that was expected to not really pan out.

IW makes MW2, they update the graphics, add new perk system (pro perks etc), add new killstreaks etc etc. They try to make the game better. While I don't necessarily agree with everything (Pain pills lol) it was still a great game.

Treyarch makes BO, It was a decent game, Again they took the safe route pretty much taking the good from mw2 and adding a few things like a money system which was kinda stupid and whatever. The wager matches were fun though. It was kinda laggy and stuff.

IW makes mw3, I think its pretty good, but I'm getting kind of tired of FPS/cod after like 4 years of playing it and not much else. The new point streak system is nice for worse players.

My point being IW is the trailblazer, Treyarch is the moocher riding IW coattails. It'd be nice to see treyarch man up and take some risk on a COD game.

Cod 3 was fun and people might say it was terrible but it didn't have the normal development time, I think it was like somewhere around a year, but I just know for sure that was significantly less than other Cods. Treyarc actually listens to the community more and tries to make a better game and change it up. All the CoDs get their graphics upgraded slightly, but MW3 was complete ****. And how the f*ck are you going to say that treyarch needs to man up and take a risk on a cod game. WTF Let's see here, Treyarch was the first to make a CoD game during the Vietnam and Cold Wars, according to leaks they are completely revamping the perk system for BO 2, IDK how the F you don't see Black Ops 2 as a risk, and zombies was a completely new innovation. All IW has done to change things up is add pro perks and add new killstreaks. Treyarch adds new game modes (zombies, Wager matches), a hell a lot more attachments and camos for guns than IW CoDs, and they had a good in-game scoreboard that was different for every gamemode (Unlike MW3 which uses the same damn scoreboard from Cod 4, it doesn't tell you the amount of plants, defuses, captures, etc).

MW2 was terrible, and MW3 was terrible for COD games. Treyarch innovates the series. Treyarch doesn't dumb down shit for the kiddies, and actually make the game require a little bit of skill.

Too bad if a game takes slightly any skill, it's considered bad.

/Rant Over You have a really good point, if any thing Treyarch is the team leading in innovation and risks. I think cod 5 was one of the best call of duty games i ever played and i have played them all. And all of the cods share code its called a BASE CODE its so they don't have to go reprogram all the little shit in. The main reason that i think treyarch takes the most risk is ZOMBIES and new games types, Plus they also added the option to record games and make custom game types.
