Robert Bowling resigns from Infinity Ward

4.2
Today another key figure in the CoD community has stepped down from their official standing. Robert Bowling or fourzerotwo has stepped down from Infinity Ward as a creative strategist. In the years he has been with Infinity Ward he has become somewhat of a icon for CoD players when it comes to new happenings and issues with the games. When a known face like fourzerotwo leaves a company, it’s worth knowing about regardless if you love them or hate them.

He made this announcement via twitter as shown below, Twitter has been the social platform that he most vocally communicated with players.

Robert Bowling Twitter Resign

While we here at TheTechGame have been a home for some of the biggest headaches to fourzerotwo, we recognize his efforts to make the CoD community a better environment for all even in the midst of pesky things like lobbies. We wish him the best of success at whatever he jumps into next.

How do you feel about his departure from Infinity Ward? How will it shape the future of IW CoDs?

Robert Bowling Awesome

Update: Here's Activision's official comment on the news: "We sincerely thank Robert for his many years of service. He's been a trusted and valued member of the Infinity Ward team. We wish him all the best on his decision to pursue future opportunities."

I dont blame him. People moan that the game is messed up and they dont know how hard it is to make a game like COD.

I thought this was coming.

I'll tell you a story: In an interview with Robert Bowling and Glen Scofield before Modern Warfare 3 was released, the interviewer said "So Robert, just tell us your position at Infinity Ward and what does that involve". After Robert explained this, Glen Scofield said "Not for long", obviously, now, meaning he was resigning, and very very few people heard.

John_US He says he'll be enduring a new adventure. Best to him. Although many of you act as if he did nothing to help the community, he did quite a lot more than you think. He was always blamed for the problems in MW3 also, so that could be a main factor.

Maybe he joins his old team at RESPAWN Entertainment ( The company that Zampella and West started after they got fired)

This guy did work a hell lot on Modern Warfare , Modern Warfare 2 AND MW3. Just think this way :

You just made a new game. The servers aren't even up for a month and someone hacked the server. You patch it.. A month later there's infected lobbies , and derank lobbies and all that stuff! How would you like that?
Also i understand that Bowling left , have you seen the credits of MW3? There's like only 100 people on the IW list , and like 2000 on Sledgehammer and Treyarch.

He tried to make the community a better place , but he failed because of ''THE KIDS'' Who wanted the perks back in that everyone hated.

I Wish him the best , and i will always respect this guy.

iJarH3ad That's sad to hear that..

Maybe he'll try to create something, like one of the best game in the history.
