September 2021’s Xbox Live Games with Gold titles have been announced

Microsoft has revealed September 2021’s Xbox Live Games with Gold titles.

On Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to download Warhammer: Chaosbane (normally $39.99/£33.49) for free throughout September.

Mulaka (normally $19.99/£15.99) will be available as a free download from September 16 to October 15.

Xbox 360 game Zone of the Enders HD Collection (normally $29.99/£24.99) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members from September 1-15.

And from September 16 until the end of the month, Xbox 360 title Samurai Shodown II (normally $9.99/£6.79) will be free to download.

As part of August 2021’s Xbox Games with Gold line-up, members can download Darksiders 3 and Garou: Mark of the Wolves for free until the end of this month, while Yooka-Laylee is available until September 15.

As of late April, an Xbox Live Gold subscription is no longer required to play free-to-play multiplayer games on Xbox consoles, or to access Looking for Group and party chat features.

Previously, Xbox Live Gold was required to play all Xbox games online, including over 50 free-to-play titles such as Warzone, Fortnite and Rocket League, which are available at no extra cost on rival platforms.

Earlier this year, Microsoft reversed plans to increase the price of a six-month Xbox Live Gold subscription by 50% to $60.
