It's the video game industry, so of course you've got to tease your impending announcement as much as possible in the days leading up to it. The next Battlefield game, which is being referred to as Battlefield 2042 if recent claims are to be believed, is being teased across social media sites with short clips that do not really reveal anything whatsoever in the lead up to the announcement trailer.
The official Battlefield Twitter account got the party started with a quick tease (embedded below) indicating systems are rebooting, with a progress bar hovering at 10 per cent.
Then the official Xbox handle tweeted shortly afterwards a follow up that increases the progress bar by another 10 per cent. It doesn't show anything besides glimpses of colour, so you're not really missing out on anything by not watching them.

At least we now know the next Battlefield game will be revealed through a trailer this Wednesday on YouTube. It'll simply premiere, and then we'll bring you the news straight afterwards here on the site.
