Battlefield 3 CM Congratulates Modern Warfare 3 for “Best Shooter” Award

Daniel Matros’ reaction to Modern Warfare 3 winning the VGA’s best shooter of the year.

Last night, Modern Warfare 3 pipped Battlefield 3 to win the VGA’s best shooter of the year. Battlefield 3′s global community manager, Daniel Matros, congratulated Modern Warfare 3 for winning the award. He went on to say that Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games “made one hell of a game.” However, in Matros’ “heart and mind” Battlefield 3 is “still number one.” Matros must be glad that he dodged a tea-bagging. It should be noted that neither shooter was nominated for the game of the year category, and Skyrim snagged that trophy. On the multiplayer front, Portal 2 was the winner against the two FPS games mentioned above and Gears 3.

Call Of Duty shouldnt show off... And nor should Battlefield... They both have their down sides and upsides... But IMO its Battlefield that is better.... Call Of Duty doesnt have a jet and it doesnt have the map size and graphics even on pc.... Its time Call Of Duty buffs up and puts in some different graphics and my own vehicle to drive.....

DeadlyDasher I like BF3, but I kinda like MW3. It gets annoying hearing the BF3 fans say MW3 is bad.
But damn..

- MW3 has more sales then BF3
- BF3 doesn't have more online players then Black Ops...
- And as the article said MW3 got shooter of the year.

But yet it's a bad game...that doesn't make sense.

1.Quallity over quantity
2.BF3 has 900K+ players everyday more than MW3
3.It was a good shooter.

1. Opinion and preference =/= quality
2. XBL Activity This Week ( AKA games with the most online players.
1. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
2. Call of Duty Black Ops
3. Skyrim
4. Battlefield 3

In my opinion BF3 fanboys are being immature forget about this they are just games, if MW3 won the Best Shooter award you didnt lost nothing you still playing BF3 and if BF3 would have won the Best Shooter award then what will you win a free copy of BF2 LOL, they are not idiots, they will lose money

That's what I try and say "why does MW3 has quantity if "it doesnt have quality"?" The only answer I ever get to that is. "BECAUSE ITS CALL OF DUTY!!!!!!"

He congratulates them after such a brutal campaign where they constantly called out COD. Not saying that one is better than the other I just find it kinda ironic.
