Battlefield 3 on Xbox 360 Plagued with Server Issues

Servers have been up and down all night on the Xbox 360 version of Battlefield 3.

The game launched in North America yesterday, but despite a beta test which publisher EA says was downloaded 9.5 million times on all platforms, it appears players have been struggling to get into multiplayer games.

Despite the offical Battlefield Twitter account declaring the problems resolved six hours ago, gamers continue to report problems on Twitter and forums. Some users are also struggling with the Battlelog service.

The most recent official update says maintenance is ongoing, and that servers should be back online shortly. Battlefield 3 will be released in Europe for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3 on Friday.

Everyone knows that EA is absolute crap when it comes down to its servers. This was to be expected.

Anyway, I'm getting the game tomorrow, we'll see how it goes, lol.

Every new game has server issues,black ops, mw2 bad company 2, you name it. Yeah it was bad the first night but its to be expected. Today the servers have been running smoothly.

dedicated servers I can sense mods/hacks patched very fast & maybe even bans from battlefield 3 if they are using dedicated servers. Its not to bad on servers like mw2 where it depends on a single person having host & controlling the whole show.
