Square Enix at TGS 2020 officially announced NieR Reincarnation will launch in North America and Europe at some point. The mobile RPG has no release date in Japan for now, but pre registration also started on September 24. As usual with gacha games you’ll get bonuses if you pre register.
NieR Reincarnation is a gacha mobile turn-based JRPG taking place in a mysterious world called the Cage. Initially controlling a little girl and guided by the ghost-like Mama, Players need to explore The Cage and collect pieces of Weapon’s Memory. The game will feature many different playable characters and protagonists, with Akihiko Yoshida as the main character designer. A Closed Beta Test was already held in Japan as well. While we’ve already seen artwork and the seiyuu for some of the characters, most notably in the new trailer, nothing truly concrete was revealed about the story and characters for now.
A short explanation of the game was made in English at the 28:11 timestamp of the TGS 2020 stream.
We already knew the game would come over seeing how Yoko Taro is incredibly popular nowadays, and even Sinoalice came over. Nice to see it finally officially announced.
