Call of Duty fans who pre-order Black Ops Cold War following its reveal next week will unlock a Frank Woods character in Warzone, according to a datamine of the game’s files.

CodTracker reports that the Woods Operator Pack will be unlocked in Modern Warfare and Warzone for pre-ordering select editions of Cold War. Woods is one of the protagonists of the original Black Ops game and will likely appear in this year’s soft reboot.

Activision held a similar promotion last year when Black Ops 4 players were able to unlock Captain Price by pre-ordering ModernWarfare.

In addition, the datamine reportedly reveals plans for a Black Ops Cold War open beta for players to experience the game before its release. The beta looks set to take place on PS4, Xbox One and PC and those who pre-order are likely to receive early access.

Finally, the datamined info reportedly mentions a ‘Confrontation Weapons Pack’, ‘Land, Sea and Air Pack’ and a Season 1 Battle Pass Bundle.



Warzone’s Battle Pass currently shares content with Modern Warfare and will likely do the same with Black Ops Cold War when it releases later this year.

Activision officially announced Call of Duty: Black Ops – Cold War this week with a teaser trailer, following a week-long alternate reality game in Call of Duty: Warzone.
